These motors, waterproofed for typical UK weather, to withstand rain, frost, snow, and mud, but are not meant for submersion in water.

Can I fit this myself?
Connection between battery and motor will require soldering. These motors are supplied with bullet connectors and our batteries are supplied with XT90 connectors, you will receive the corresponding XT90 connector with your battery. Changing the connector will NOT invalidate your warranty.
If you require tools to take off your bottom bracket, pedal cranks and maybe split your chain, follow this link to purchase all of the tools. You will also require a fitting wrench which you can add as an option (above).
Will the 750W 48V BBS02B Mid-Drive Motor fit my bike?
This motor is designed to fit bikes with a bottom bracket of between 67mm and 73mm. The inner diameter of the bottom bracket should be 33.5mm. Most modern bikes sold in the UK meet this standard (but please check). We have a bottom bracket guide here.
What is the optional gear sensor for?
The gear sensor interrupts the motor when you change gear, and gives a smoother gear change.
How about the brakes?
The kit has a choice of replacement levers for standard brake cables, stick-on sensors if you have hydraulic brakes, or a combo for integrated units (where the brake lever and gear selector are integrated into one unit). Regardless of your system, these components cease the motor when braking, avoiding resistance. This is a key safety feature!

Please note a motor output exceeding 250w and speed assistance exceeding 15.5mph means it cannot be used on UK public roads without first obtaining type approval, insurance, tax, displaying a number plate and undergoing an MOT.
In the UK, only converison kits that comply with EAPC Regulations can be used on UK public roads without tax, insurance or registration. A conversion kit above 250W can only be used off-road on private land.
